One unique artifact in the historical collections of our sandstone mansion is a family photo album. This album gives us a glimpse into the personal life of the Lougheed family, including time spent in Banff with family and friends. It also features many pets!
Some photos will be on display for the first time ever: we're introducing Chips, a beloved family dog, David the regal cat, and Spats the horse by displaying their photos to the public. This exhibit of Lougheed family animal companion photos will be displayed outdoors as part of Exposure Photography Festival in the public green space, and viewable during any daylight hours. Pets are also welcome in this green space, continuing this long tradition of animal companions at Lougheed House.
On exhibition January 30, 2026 - March 1, 2026
Enjoy a sneak-peek of some of the photos that will be on display below!
