This workshop takes place at Lougheed House as part of the Beaulieu Harvest & Artisan Market on Saturday, October 4!
In this 2-hour workshop, participants will learn the process of making a turkey wing hand broom. Broom making is a practice steeped in tradition, and the broom you create is functional.
During the workshop, you will:
• Create a turkey wing hand broom from start to finish
• Learn tips and techniques for working with broomcorn
All tools and materials are provided. The workshop is suitable for mature young people and adults. The class is physical and will require the use of your whole body.
